What is in the building behind you?
Well, the logistics team of Körber is responsible for the procurement, storage and delivery of more than twenty thousand components of the produced machines. They organize the arrival of the raw materials with a high degree of precision so that everything is available at the right time, fitted to the production schedule. The parts are stored in our digitalized, completely paperless warehouse.
How important is corporate social responsibility for Pécs?
The protection of natural and societal environment is an important goal. Environmental aspects - above all waste management and energy efficiency - are emphasized into the planning our investments and in our daily production processes. As a part of our local social responsibility programs, we do our share of helping through financial support and volunteer work. As a factory with 53,000 m² used for floor space, we use 100% renewable electricity.
What about employee training?
At Körber, the individual development of our employees is part of our philosophy. We empower people at all levels, from students through secondary and higher education levels, to find solutions for today and tomorrow. Vocational and university students can participate in dual training in special fields such as mechanical engineering, welding technology, electrical engineering and IT. Dual training is divided into two parts: theoretical lessons at school and practical training at Körber. Students also have the opportunity to apply for internships at our companym which allowes them to get to know the state-of-the-art machining technology and get used to the high quality standards requested by our customers.
How visible is the Körber brand in Pécs?
As part of the branding campaign, the local bus stop in front of the factory's main entrance has been renamed and is now called Körber. In addition, there are local buses, dressed in Körber blue and showing the diverse spaces and professions of our colleagues
How important is the topic of IT?
We also strengthen our market position through continuous IT developments and quality improvement measures. Accordingly, the IT team of Körber in Pécs has high complex system operation and development tasks, and our IT services must be provided with high availability. Recently, we have built up a strong team of developers and supporters who provide services not only for our location but for the entire Körber Group.

Corporate social responsibility

Volunteer days have been important elements of our company’s social responsibility program for years. The participating colleagues and local volunteers help with various maintenance and renovations in schools, kindergartens, playgrounds. The events, which always end in a good mood and a pizza lunch together, are also a great community experience, which contributes to their popularity.

Next stop: Körber

As part of its image campaign, the Körber site in Pécs is using local buses running through the city as advertising media. The bus design features exclusively portraits of Körber employees from Pécs: welders, grinders, CNC operators and painters being at work. In addition, the bus stop in front of the main entrance of the factory wears the name of the location. As a result, the Körber brand name has appeared on timetables and route network maps throughout the city, and passengers travelling on the routes that pass through the stop can hear the name dozens of times a day from the public transport announcers.
