Which awards did the site receive?
Hi, my name is Zsófia, I am part of the project management team here in Pécs. Thanks to our environmental awareness and responsible thinking, our energy-conscious, environmently-friendly and work-life balance initiatives are usually awarded by professional associations and external certification providers. In the last few years alone, we were awarded not only with the reliable employer award, but also for our CSR efforts. Körber Campus Pécs won four awards: one award for becoming an energy-efficient company through the "Virtual Power Plant Programm" and three awards from CSR-Hungary for its efforts in the areas of energy efficiency and waste management. In addition, CSR-Hungary awarded the site the Europe Design Special Price for its commitment to employee development. We have also won the main prize and the audience vote at the PR Excellence Hungary Awards for our outstanding internal communications practices. We have completed in the Smart Company of the Year competition and finished in the top 5 in Hungary, which means that we have an unusually high number of colleagues with an over the average IQ. But we can not only convince with our brains, but also with our heart. Second year in a row, we became a blood donor-friendly company, rewarded by the local Red Cross. In 2021, we successfully passed the ISO 50001 energy management system audit, carried out by TÜV NORD without any discrepancies. The new system has been integrated into our management system, where our existing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental management system have also been reviewed by the TÜV Nord and still considered compliant.

World-class manufacturing

Körber Campus Pécs is the Körber Group's second largest site, with more than 1,000 employees. The factory’s history started in 1994, when Hauni (today Körber Business Area Technologies) purchased the Sopiana's production halls and machines. The factory was founded with two production units: Assembly and Machining, on 10,000 m2. Later, along with the expansion of the sheet metal processing unit, the central warehouse and the machinery assembly are built as well. Therefore the production area of the factory has grown to 53,000 m2 since the turn of the century.
